Happy New Years!

It's just been Disneyland trip after Disneyland trip for me. I guess I might be going too much, but my pass expires in late February, but I'm leaving back for school in three days so I'm trying to make the most of it.

New Years eve at Disneyland was amazing. We had Mickey and Minnie shuffle for us and there was just a huge party going on for five hours straight with loud music and people everywhere. It was really crazy though because it was so crowded. We had to wait about eight hours before hand to get a spot that was relatively close to the castle. Our spot was just slightly off center, but we were still able to see everything. Can't stand all the parents who brought their babies in strollers to the countdown, though. I mean, it's one thing to take up all that extra room with your bulky stroller and another thing to bring your infant to an extremely crowded area with loud music when it is clearly past their bedtime. Ridiculous.

Also, since it was so crowded, I didn't notice that someone took my phone. There was absolutely no way that I dropped it seeing as I was sitting down on some blankets for eight hours, but I must have been careless and left it lying around for a bit when someone took it. Guess I can only learn from this and move on. Got a new phone already and it was expensive as hell.

Also it was incredibly foggy. We could only see the fireworks that were shot up from the front of the castle. We had been hoping to catch both the Christmas special fireworks as well as the New Years ones, but the fog settled in a good half hour before the Christmas fireworks. But the castle was awfully pretty and they still executed the fireworks (even though nobody could see them) so we could watch the castle light up and listen to the music.

We stayed at a hotel that night. Thank god, because it was so foggy I wouldn't have wanted to drive home.

Also went again on Tuesday and bought this fabulous pin. You'd recognize it if you have watched Pixar's UP, my favorite movie of all time. I'm not one for Disney pin collecting because I know if I start, I won't stop and then I'll be out of money. Plus you can only wear most of those pins while you're at the park. But I'd wear the Ellie Badge any time and anywhere just because I love that movie so much.

Going back to school in a few days. This break has been sufficiently long enough, but I'll definitely be sad to start studying and working for school again. It'll be nice to see people again, though.
